I took these photos while creaming myself in the front row at this last-minute Powderfinger gig. They were meant to open for Cold Play at a huge venue (which I didn't have tickets to), but Cold Play cancelled due to Chris Martin coming down with explosive diarrhea (or at least that's the joke excuse the radio station was using). Whispers were that Powderfinger were going to play at the Horseshoe Tavern since they were in town anyway. It was fucking brilliant! They gave me their set list sheet (which is now framed) and they all signed my copy of Internationalist (which is also framed). AH GUH!

I love band pictures. Maybe it's from when I used to go to shows all the time, but there's something very special about them. Love it. :]

It was a frickin' magical night. This band is HUGE in AUS and there they were, playing in a small little bar in Toronto. I had beers with them afterwards - it was ridiculous. They used a couple of my pics on their website too; I was in heaven ;)

Girl, i am so loving reading your blog. There's a concert venue here in NJ that holds about 500 people, but it's set up like a club and it's standing room only so it's a very intimate setting for shows. My husband has seen tons of metal bands there and he took me to see Dashboard Confessional there. GREAT time.

Now that's 'my kind of scene'! Fab pictures of the boys. I remember seeing them at Homebake in Sydney in 1999 with two amazing friends who equally loved them and i think we spent the whole time hugging each other. I then was lucky enough to see them in Glasgow a few years ago and they were just as amazing. Thank you! I totally get what they can do to you!
